Carnival Nightmares

Tick-tock, round the clock, here they come,

Spinning, grinning, shadows won’t succumb.

Whirling lights flicker in the midnight haze,

Laughter echoes, lost in this twisted maze.

Strangest carnival, no way to escape,

Giggling clowns with their sinister cape.

Feet stumbling on the cracked, broken ground,

Whispering voices, a haunting sound.

Caught in a trap of their eerie game,

Will I ever leave or stay the same?

Lost in the carnival, under the creepy glow,

Chasing shadows in the undertow.

Jack-in-the-box laughs, a haunting tune,

Spinning in circles under the moon.

Fingers snapping, eyes glowing bright,

Never-ending game of fright.

Flee or face the jester’s smile,

Run, run, before it’s too late,

In this never-ending haunted fate.

All around, the mirrors show my face,

Reflections of fear I cannot erase.

Caught in their wicked, spinning dance,

Haunted by their ghostly trance.

Clock stops ticking, silence falls,

Carnival’s whisper behind stone walls.

Escape the nightmare or so it seems,

Forever lost in carnival dreams.
