Shadows in the Sky

Darkness creeping, shadows in my mind

Feeling lost, hope hard to find

Heart heavy, soul on the line

This weight's too much, cross the line

Morning breaks but I feel the same pain

Echoes of love lost in the pouring rain

She left, kids gone, no one to call

I'm sinking deeper, about to fall

Thoughts spinning, can't escape this maze

Depression's grip, got me in a daze

Anxiety roaring like a storm inside

Stress piling, nowhere to hide

Stand here with a pistol in my hand

Looking up to the sky, trying to understand

Lord, forgive me, if I don't make it through

This darkness is all I knew

But I pray, I hope you understand

This pain, this struggle, makes me feel unmanned

I wish I could find peace and hold on tight

Fight this fight inside

Silent screams in the dead of night

Thoughts of ending it all, losing the fight

But somewhere in my heart, a flicker remains

A whisper of hope amid the pains

Boom goes the shot, echoes in the air
