Storm Clouds Above

Whispered shadows, silent doubt,

Echoes of a soul in a stormy bout.

Took a mirror, faced my face,

Found a child lost in a broken place.

Blinded by the scars, stories left untold,

Heart worn out, but still so cold.

Gave away my light, in the dark I stray,

Holding onto fears that never fade away.

Clouds hover high, heavy with my pain,

Storms inside that whisper my name.

Still I breathe, another day’s in sight,

Fighting shadows in the night.

I’m lost in the storm, wrapped in my fears,

Haunted by echoes over the years.

But I hold on tight, won’t let it go,

This story’s mine, I need to know.

Fears are just clouds, passing through,

Breaking the silence, past the blue.

Every scar, every tear,

Brings me closer to what’s real here.

So I stand, battered but free,

Facing what’s inside of me.

No more hiding, no disguise,

Just a soul reborn, in my own eyes.
