Shadows of Fear

In the shadow of my doubts, I stand alone

Whispers of fears, echo in my mind

Hollow footsteps fade in the distant night

Every heartbeat echoes, craving light

Holding on tight to what I can't see

Afraid of always losing all that's dear to me

But I wonder if you'll stay, or if you’ll just drift away

In the storm inside my mind, I pray

Can I find the strength to face, this fear I hide

Or will I drown in the tears I've cried?

I'm trembling in the shadows, scared you'll disappear

Caught in the silence, haunted by my fears

Wishing for a promise that you'll always stay

But the cold winds of abandonment always blow my way
