YOU HAVE GIVEN ME JOY - Psalm 4

When I call, You hear me,

God of righteousness.

When the walls were closing in,

You gave me room to breathe again.

So I’ll bring You every burden,

Every fear I cannot hide,

For the Lord has set His people apart,

And He hears me when I cry.

I won’t let anger rule my heart,

I’ll be still before You, Lord.

I’ll lay my worries at Your feet,

And trust You more and more.

Shine the light of Your face upon me,

Let Your glory fill this place.

You have put a joy within me

That this world could never make.

More than riches, more than plenty,

More than anything I’ve known—

You alone are my portion,

You alone can lead me home.

The world keeps asking, “Who can show us

Anything that’s truly good?”

But I have seen Your faithful hand, Lord,

I have tasted, I have understood.

So I’ll offer You my worship,

I’ll put all my trust in You.

When everything around me trembles,

Your promises are true.

Shine the light of Your face upon me,

Let Your glory fill this place.

You have put a joy within me

That this world could never make.

More than riches, more than plenty,

More than anything I’ve known—

You alone are my portion,

You alone can lead me home.

When the night gets dark—You are with me.

When my heart gets tired—You sustain me.

When the voices rise—I will trust You.

When the battle comes—I will praise You.

You have heard me!

You have kept me!

You have never let me go!

So my heart will rest in Your hands,

For You are faithful, Lord!

In peace…

I will lie down.

In peace…

I will sleep.

No fear of tomorrow,

No weight upon me.

For You alone, O Lord,

Make me dwell in righteousness.

Shine the light of Your face upon us,

Let Your glory flood this place!

You have put a joy within us

That the darkness cannot take!

More than riches, more than plenty,

Jesus, You are all we need!

You alone are our salvation,

You alone have set us free!

When I call—You hear me.

When I fall—You hold me.

When the darkness surrounds me,

Still my soul will sing:

In peace I will lie down and sleep,

For You alone, O Lord,

Make me dwell in safety.

You alone.

You alone.

My God, I trust in You.
