She Stayed
Verse 1
Everybody saw the tears,
But they never saw the prayers.
Bills stacked high on the kitchen table,
Still somehow, God made a way there.
School clothes, birthdays, doctor’s visits,
Late-night fevers, homework too.
Working all day, coming home exhausted,
Still finding strength to pull them through.
Some nights I cried when they were sleeping,
Wondering how we’d make it through.
Then I’d whisper, “Lord, I’m trusting,”
And He kept doing what only He could do.
Pre-Chorus
I wasn’t perfect…
I made mistakes…
But I refused…
To walk away.
Chorus
She stayed…
When the world got cold.
She prayed…
When life took its toll.
She wiped her tears,
Then stood back up,
With empty pockets,
But a heart full of love.
She stayed…
When others ran.
She kept believing
In God’s bigger plan.
No cape upon her shoulders,
Just faith that never swayed…
That’s the story…
Of a mama…
Who stayed.

Verse 2
Some fathers came around on holidays,
Some disappeared without goodbye.
Promises faded like yesterday’s sunset,
Leaving little hearts asking, “Why?”
I couldn’t answer every question,
Or buy everything they dreamed.
But I gave them love and honesty,
And pointed them to the King.
Because people may disappoint you,
But God has never failed.
Every door He opened for our family
Proved His promises prevail.
Pre-Chorus
They may remember…
What we didn’t own…
But they’ll never forget…
They were never alone.
Chorus
She stayed…
When the world got cold.
She prayed…
When life took its toll.
She wiped her tears,
Then stood back up,
With empty pockets,
But a heart full of love.
She stayed…
When others ran.
She kept believing
In God’s bigger plan.
No cape upon her shoulders,
Just faith that never swayed…
That’s the story…
Of a mama…
Who stayed.

Bridge
To every single mama
Who feels like she’s not enough…
God counted every sacrifice.
Every sleepless night.
Every paycheck stretched.
Every birthday made special.
Every whispered prayer.
He saw you.
Your children may not understand it today…
But one day they’ll look back and say,
“Mama… thank you for staying.”
