Tell them.
If you see something beautiful in someone, tell them.
Don’t keep it to yourself.
Most people go through life hearing everything they should do better.
What they need to fix.
What they should change.
What isn’t good enough.
What they’re doing wrong.
We’re so quick to point out the flaws,
but so slow to speak about the light.
So if you look into someone’s soul
and you see something good there — tell them.
Tell them they’re kind.
Tell them they have a beautiful heart.
Tell them they make people feel safe.
Tell them there is something special about them.
Because you never know how much those words might mean.
Maybe years from now,
they’ll have a day where they don’t like themselves.
Maybe they’ll feel lost, broken, or like they’re not enough.
And somewhere in the back of their mind,
they might remember what you once told them.
“Someone saw the light in me…
even when I couldn’t see it myself.”
And maybe, just maybe,
those words will be enough to get them through the day.
So when you see something beautiful in someone,
say it.
Don’t assume they already know.
Sometimes a few honest words
can stay with a person for a lifetime.
