My Safety Circle

When you're out and you're playing, and having big fun,
You'll see lots of people before the day is done!
But a very important thing you need to know,
Is who you can talk to, and where you should go.
We all have a special group, a team that is true,
They’re called your Safety Circle, and they’re waiting for you!

Your Safety Circle, three feet tall, or much, much bigger!
Mommy, Daddy, Grandma, Teacher—your strong safety figure!
If someone you don’t know asks you for a ride or a treat,
Stop, look, and listen, then move your two feet!
If you don't know their face, don't go to their place!
Find a trusted adult in your circle in a hurry and race!

A stranger might look friendly, they might have a toy,
They might say they lost a dog, and need a girl or a boy.
They might say, “Your parents sent me, come with me right now!”
But hold your ground, little one, and say, "No way, no how!"
Before you go anywhere, you must check it first,
