Hearts on fire, brains half-baked,

Now we laugh, but hell, it took a while,

To see we weren’t brave — back then we were wild.

Sprayin’ curse words on the water tower,

Like spray paint made us men of power.

Tried to fight the world with fists and pride,

And thought a lifted truck made us ten feet wide.

We’d swear we knew what life was for,

Tried love once, then called her a chore.

Burned some bridges, chased cheap thrills,

Thought heartbreak just meant “pop more pills.”
