Summer rain

Gentle drops fallin' from the sky,

A blessing and a curse, it’s no lie,

Summer rain, it creeps low,

Where it stops, nobody knows.

Sunshine’s gone, the clouds roll in,

A promise of relief from the drought and the sin,

Fields turn green, the rivers swell,

But too much of this rain, it can take a toll as well.

It’s a double-edged sword, holding life and loss,

Nature’s gift, but it can be a cost,

Hold on tight, through the stormy flow,

In the rain’s dance, we learn to grow.

Oh, summer rain, falling like a prayer,

Bringing hope and despair,

Blessing the land with tears from above,

A test of faith, of hope and love.

Crops may drown, roads may break,

Hearts hold on through the heartbreak,

Sunshine after tears will shine again,

In the rain, we find our strength to begin.

So let it fall, gentle or wild,

Nature’s way, a hopeful child, dances in the

Summer rain, stay a little while,

Bringing life across the miles.
