We Wait in Faith (Duology)

The clouds grow dark, the nations shake,
Their threats like high, loud waves that break.
Yet we will stand, our hearts at rest,
For Jehovah will prove what’s best.

The great tribulation draws near,
But faith in God removes our fear.
We cling to Christ, our shield and guide,
In loyal trust we will abide.

We wait in faith, our hope secure,
Jehovah’s promises endure. 
Through tribulation’s fiercest flame,
He saves all those who trust His name!

When rumors rise and kingdoms fall,
We know Jehovah sees it all.
No scheme of man, no boast, no sword,
Can touch the ones who trust our Lord.

We keep on preaching side by side,
In house and street His name our pride.
Each seed of truth that hearts receive
Will help more weary ones believe.

When laws grow harsh, when foes condemn,
Jehovah still will strengthen them
Who call His name in humble prayer,
Convinced His loving hands will care.

We train our minds on things above,
His Kingdom first, His loyal love.
The roaring world may mock and blame,
Yet we rejoice to bear His name.

The coming storm will soon be brief,
Then every tear will find relief.
The great crowd stands through raging seas,
Preserved by God who grants them peace. 

We picture life when wars are gone,
A calm new earth, a brighter dawn.
The scars of fear and loss will fade,
As paradise blooms where they stayed.

Our trials now refine our heart,

A people taught by God to stay
