Outlaws and Demons.

I was born with a scar and a burning fuse,

Raised on dirt roads and hand-me-down blues.

Learned early on, you fight or you fold,

Truth gets twisted when your heart grows cold.

The law ain’t just, and the rules ain't fair,

So I carved my name in the midnight air.

They called me outlaw, said I lost my grace—

But the devil wears a man’s face.

Outlaws and demons, one breath apart,

Both carry fire in a hollowed-out heart.

Crossin’ that line don’t take much at all,

Just one bad day, then you're watchin' it fall.

A soul can rot while it's still breathin’—

There ain’t much difference in outlaws and demons.

Once I stole to eat, now I steal to feel,

Every broken promise makes the pain more real.

Whiskey’s my gospel, silence my prayer,

And I don’t know if I’m runnin’ or I’m already there.

There’s poison in the well and blood on the land,

Every man’s a sinner with a shaky hand.

Justice died and was never mourned—

Now I walk the edge with a heart torn.

Burnin’ through dreams and drowned-out desires.

That line gets thinner the longer you fight,

Til wrong starts feelin’ like it just might be right.

No saints left here, just those still schemin’—

Caught in the war of outlaws and demons.

Ain’t no salvation in this kind of war…

Only the ones who forget what they’re fightin’ for.
