The Hungry Caterpillar Song

Once there were eggs, so tiny and small,

Lying on a leaf, not moving at all.

Out came a caterpillar, hungry one day,

Eating and eating along the way.

He ate through apples, pears, and cake,

So many bites—his tummy did ache!

Then he found a chrysalis, cozy and tight,

Resting and growing both day and night.

Eggs, caterpillar, chrysalis too,

Look what growing and changing can do!

Eggs, caterpillar, butterfly,

Stretch your wings and fly so high!

Out came a butterfly, colorful and bright,

Spreading its wings for its very first flight.

From egg to caterpillar, we’ve learned today,

Change is amazing in every way!
