(WORDS IN THE WIND)
("At the Bema")
How will you stand
Before him when you step
into the light of the Bema —
the judgment seat of Christ —
and every thing you you built
the life you lived gets
gets laid on the fire?
Was it
Wood.
Hay.
Stubble -
( spoken -slightly-anxious)
They burn so fast-
The living was real.
The sweat was real.
The years were real.
But what did my heart reavel?
performing for standing?
Was I enduring
trying to earn what grace had already gave?
(Full-Groove)
Did you show yourself approved?
Did you rightly divide the word of truth?
Did you know what it is
to make all men see what is the
The fellowship of the mystery-
not works, not striving, not earning
but standing in what was already, mine
The revelation hidden from ages past
hidden in God
now revealed through Paul —
The one new man,
The Body of Christ
(Slow- building)
Grace.
Through faith.
In His finished work.
Grace through faith,
Standing in freedom
Thanking him for the Cross
His finished work
(Build again spoken- warmly to crescendo)
Or did you build on precious stones?
Not upon yourself.
Not upon your strength
Not upon your might
Upon - THE SAVIOR---
The mystery revealed.
Christ in you —
the hope of glory.
Did you reckon yourself dead to sin
and alive to God in Christ Jesus?
Not striving for what you already had.
Adopted into his righteousness
Christ in you.
The hope of glory
(Slower, intentional)
He is seated
in the heavenlies.
And you —
you are seated with Him.
Not climbing.
Not striving.
Not maintaining.
Seated.
His righteousness…
Not mine…
His finished work…
In Christ----
(Spoken)
But hear me.
Paul said it plainly.
First Corinthians three.
If the work doesn't make you free—
the man still lives, but suffers loss
That was settled at the cross.
saved by fire.
Sliding in.
Empty handed when you reach for him
No crown to lay at His feet.
No reward for the race you could have run.
And then —
Your eyes open.
And you see Him.
The fullness of that glory.
The weight of that grace
that carried you all the way home.
a question arises deep from with in
Why didn't I do more?
When I knew this day would come
When grace was mine,
I called myself his son
Why did I spend it on my self
When I see His glory…
I want to bring Him
More than just myself…
Im Saved by fire…
With nothing else
Forever.
But the Bema is coming.
Let us serve him because we are blessed. Listen to the spirit, he'll do the rest.
Let's build our lives precious stones
That God will get the glory to him alone
So when we see him, - he will see his own.
And we hear those words.
Well done-
welcome home.-
