Shadows and Sunrise

Sunrise whispers, tears in my eyes

Chasing shadows, trying to rise

From sun up to sun down, the pain stays near

Fighting through the hours, despite the fear

Longing for the days when I felt free

A time when I wasn't just surviving, but living me

Memories of my past self, glowing bright

Now I stand in the darkness, searching for light

Tired eyes telling stories of battles fought

But I hold on to hope, dreaming of what I sought

Oh, I miss the person I used to be

Feeling lost in this new reality

Though the weight feels heavy on my chest

I whisper to my soul, I’ll do my best

Wishing for brighter days ahead

Holding on, even when I feel dead

My body tired but my spirit’s still strong
