Butterflies in the Dark

In the shadows where despair used to hide,

Darkness almost won, I felt the tears collide.

Lost in the silence, drowning in the night,

Then a spark of color, butterflies in flight.

Whispers of wings, so gentle, so bright,

Guided me back through the fading light.

Hold on to hope, let your spirit take flight,

With every flutter, I reclaim my right.

Butterflies, lead me home, out of the storm,

Color in the darkness, breaking the forlorn.

Almost lost but now I've found,

In their wings, I’m unbound.

Pain tries to whisper, but I hear the song,

A melody of resilience, it’s where I belong.

With every beat, my heart renews,

In the dance of butterflies, I find my muse.

Depression almost won, but I stand tall,

With butterflies around me, I won't fall.

In their flight, I find my call,

A new dawn, I will enthrall.
