Where The Wild Things Roam

Sunrise peeks over treetops, fresh dew

Boots hit the ground, feelin’ like the world’s brand new

Rifle on my shoulder, heart steady, not fast

Whispering winds through the pines, oh the time slips past

Critters scurry, leaves crunch under my feet

Eyes on the prize, it's all about pursuit and growing patience.

Steps like shadows, nothins breaking the calm

Nature’s biggest stage, under that bright, orange dawn

Out in the woods where the wild things roam

Casting lines, and bringing it home

Barefoot on the banks, just me and my own

Got peace in my soul, where my free spirit is flown

Fishin’ rods and tackle box, down to the stream

Cool water whispers, serenity so supreme

Hook, line, sinker, cast it out far

Waiting in silence, beneath that twinklin’ star

There’s Long waits, and short catches, but it’s all good

Stories 'round the fire, and then it’s back into the woods

Fish in the cooler, ready for the grill
