Silent shadows flicker, hiding behind my face

Lost in the crowd, yet I can't find my place

Morning breaks, but the darkness lingers still

Smiles on the outside, but inside I feel ill

Surrounded by voices, yet I hear my own cry

Caught in a storm inside, I wonder why

Every laugh, every cheer, I wear like a mask
