Gaining speed

Shadows hide my body trembling

Stranded in the rain

Dark skies break through all the boundaries

The night has tried to hide

My pounding heart erupts

With a force I cannot flee

Illuminate the sky with dreams

Take away the monster following me

Gonna run so fast to outlast

I will chase it away

All of the monsters rushing forward

Exposing biting teeth,

They’re going to kill me if they catch me.

Try to catch me

Faster and faster we race in time

I summon my wings they grow and spread

So wide I can glide away

Soaring so high into the sky

I watch them disappear into the night

So small down there

It’s never too late to fly
