Makes me wanna say, it was my best time

I thought life was complete, but you were born, now everything else is obsolete

We struggled with naming you

But as soon as my stomach grew

It was plain to see

You were definitely an Ashley

Not knowing if you were a boy or girl

We were so excited to introduce you to the world

Was you going to be my twin

Or daddy’s little man

The vibe and love I felt

Was so overwhelming, my heart melted

That day approached

And low and behold you spoke

Not in words but presents

A baby girl, now all made since

Now grown to a woman

Nothing prepared me for what was coming

I enjoyed every minute watching you grow

My, my, my I’m so proud to know

The successful person that you are

And you keep amazing me by far
