Her Monster

She hides in a crowd of people, hoping to not be noticed

Fear in her eyes, body shaking, he did this, he did this

He ripped and grabbed and yanked at her, yelling at her telling her this wouldn’t have happened if she’d just do what he said

All of this for her to feel so much pain and trauma

Nose and mouth all bloody, she’s on the ground crying begging for this nightmare to end

Will he stop scaring her, will he give up and move on to the next

Only time can give her the answer she deserves
