What Lies Beneath

When you look into my eyes what do you see,

Do you see the broken torment or the tattered dreams,

I mask the pain with smiles to disguise the Hell within,

To save your soul from being scorched by the flames that never end, I stare into the mirror to reflect it back at me, and try to extinguish all the pain before it destroys your sanity,
