Alarm hit 6, ain’t slept all night,
Clock in again just to make shit right.
Boss talk big but he don’t do nothin’,
I’m breakin’ my back while he pressin’ them buttons.
Hands all cut, steel-toe boots,
Sweat in my eyes, dirt on my suit.
Work all day, they don’t raise my wage,
I’m stuck in the grind like a rat in a cage.
But I keep on movin’, can’t let up,
Even when life hit hard as a semi-truck.
Tired as hell but I still show up —
’Cause broke ain’t somethin’ I’ll ever put up.
I’ve been workin’ all day for that dog-sht pay,
Clock out tired but I’m back next day.
No breaks, no praise, but I still don’t quit,
’Cause I’m built too tough, yeah I handle that shit.
Working hard, every night, every day —
Man, I swear I deserve way more than they pay.
Dog-sht pay, but my grind don’t fade,
I’m the reason this whole damn place gets made.
Yeah, I lift, push, carry the load,
While they sit pretty in the office mode.
Paycheck small, bills real tall,
Money disappear like it never came at all.
Lunch break short, dreams feel far,
But I’m still reachin’ even covered in scars.
’Cause one day I’m breakin’ out this place,
No timecard, no number on my face.
They don’t value the work I do,
But deep down I know my worth is true.
If grind was gold, I’d be rich by now —
I just keep goin’, they wonderin’ how.
One day I’ll rise up, walk out clean,
Leave this grind behind like a bad old dream.
Till then I’m pushin’, still getting by,
’Cause hustle don’t die, even when checks lie.
Yeah, dog-sh*t pay, but the grind don’t stop,
Hard work built me from the bottom to the top.
They can underpay, underrate, underestimate —
But they ain’t ever breakin’ what they didn’t create.
