Daddy V's Father

He wasn't there and never heard
My mouth release that cuss word
He never seen & never knew
I backed an ole truck right up  into

A word came out, & my face got red
No man around, nope not even a dad
It's the little moments like this
We never shared, he never had

Let's not even mention my birthday
His favorite line is, it's just another day
It's the little things like this
They don't want me to tell & say

Ill be my kids mom and dad
So they don't experience things I had
When my kids are in need
IAM the first one praying to God on my knees.

Give me the strength to move what they need moved
Give me the smile, to show them to dance with  groove
Give me the fire to clear their way
Give me the light  to light their way

I have never had a home cooked meal made by dad
My birth certificate never had him on it either, that's sad
But I never hated him, or even got mad
I always just assumed he thought I was bad

So they don't experience things I had

Gods says that IAM perfect
But I have to use my GPS
Because I get lost on back roads
& point to cities on my hand.

God says that IAM perfect
And Not to worry about my dad
God is the only Father that I need
