Roses burning in the dark rain falls like stones

Thorns tearing skin what's left of what we’ve sewn

Water crashing sharp on glass shadows twist under

Through the noise the silence breaks pulls me under

Rain drops ticking like a bomb can't ignore the beat

Drenched boots on cold wet pavement marching defeat

Eyes searching for a flame in the soaking blur

The red of petals bleeding through the gray stir

Roses won't speak won’t cry won't pray

Rain drops hitting hard stealing the day

Everything shaking breaking storms take control

Kittens in mittens watch the chaos unfold

Cold wind screams through the cracks the walls protest

Everything falling sideways ghosts pound their chests

Whispers scratch the air the roses start to fade

Dripped-out petals drown in the flood they made

Kittens chasing thunder claws out slicing thin

Their tiny roars get swallowed in the growing din

Rain drops drown their echo roses fight for life

The storm it doesn’t care it cuts like a knife
