Shadows whisper but they don’t speak

A thousand echoes but none unique

I called your name it fell like stone

Chasing ghosts where life has flown

Hands on gravestones feeling the chill

Searching for warmth where time stands still

Chasing sparks where the fire has fled

I keep digging but the ground won’t give

Looking for the living in places they can’t live

Footsteps fade on a mossy path

The sky won’t answer it just laughs

Crows circle but they won’t tell

If heaven’s near or this is hell
