Train My Heart

Jehovah gave us freedom true,
To choose the path we walk into.
But love should guide each thought we hold,
And keep our hearts from growing cold.

A conscience lives inside our mind,
It helps us choose what’s right and kind.
Yet sin can blur what we can see,
So we need truth to set us free.

Jehovah, train my heart and mind,
To seek the good, the just, the kind.
Through Jesus, help me stand so true,
And live each day to honor You.

God’s Word can train our hearts and eyes,
To see beyond the world’s disguise.
His principles can light the way,
And help us choose what pleases Him each day.

When life gets hard, we stop and pray,
And ask Jehovah for His way.
His holy spirit leads us on,
Till doubtful fears are all but gone.

To force God’s Word to fit our line.
First we will search and then obey,
And let Jehovah show the way.
