Good and evil in me

I wake up with angels whisperin’ in my ear,

But the devil’s in the mirror, smilin’ crystal clear.

One side says forgive, the other says fight,

Got a storm and a sunrise, both in my sight.

I try to be kind, but I slip sometimes,

I say the right words but cross the wrong lines.

A battle inside, it’s loud and it’s deep,

The wolf and the lamb both talk in my sleep.
