When I look, over the ocean
I see the, sun lower over the waves
No light shines on the sand dunes
Orange glow covers the sand just line paint
I see, land far in the distance
I watch, clouds floating with the breeze
I sit, on a log writing this song
Wonder, is this what life was meant to be
Loneliness feels like this
Not seeing direction not seeing hope
No light there to guide us
We're water trickling slowly down the sloap
We're water trickling slowly down the sloap
Waves crashing, planes flying
Twigs and shells litter the shore
Life always just feels a beach now
Crickets making racket loud
Houses stand, in the distance
Footprints, left in the sand
Moon rising up behind me
Don't know if to sit or stand
Loneliness feels like this
Not seeing direction not seeing hope
No light there to guide us
We're water trickling slowly down the sloap
We're water trickling slowly down the sloap
And looking at the cliffs I wonder if I should jump
Splash in the water getting drunk
Then like a kid stand in the cold
While the sand appears gold
Dry off with a towel and ice cream
Loneliness feels like this
Not seeing direction not seeing hope
No light there to guide us
We're water trickling slowly down the sloap
We're water trickling slowly down the sloap
