A letter for my hero, my mum, my queen Eileen Maybury, she's the one i called mum and dad as she took both roles in my life, the one who carried me for 9 months in her belly and still carried me 41 years. Later.
writing this letter was one of the hardest things I have ever had to do in life, i don't know what to think or write, i have got no idea running through my mind because you're not here by my side, it makes me lonely and sad to write this letter but you inspired me to do it.
I told you before mum but I need everyone to know here today what a super women you really are even though my words will never do enough in thanking you for the great contribution made in my life, I want you to know I am deeply grateful for you, you have supported me and encouraged me throughout my entire life, your the best amongst the rest mum, you played a big part not just in my life but everyone's, be proud of your self because I am.
mum worked 4 jobs to make sure we had everything growing up. You made sure we had everything we wanted for Christmas and birthdays.
you were always there to pick us up when we would fall. You kissed our cuts and bruises and told us we would be ok. You sacrificed a lot in your life to give your kids the best, and we really was the best in your eyes . You couldn't have done any more of a better job. You did right by us mum, and i am blessed to have 41 years with you. I just wish it was more.
See, mum wasn't just a mum to her kids she mothered everyone who come in to her life, wether it was her kids her friends her grandkids, her door was always open and her food was your food. Mum cared more about others than herself and that's what she told me to do, always care about someone else more than yourself when it comes to family, and that is what I will do, i will have my time mum but for now I am strong for my brothers, sisters, neices, nephews and children because that's what you taught me.
So mum the memories i have of you will keep me smiling for the rest of my life, because we had them memories, I am proud to be your son and I am blessed to have you as my mum and I want to thank you for bringing me in this life and making me a part of yours, this isnt a goodbye mum this is I will see you again
Love you mum more than you could ever know
love your boy Gareth
