I want to thank God for the blessing
Of still having you with us.
We know you don’t need us to be saints,
But today, on your birthday,
We want to say sorry.
Sorry for taking you for granted,
Even over your own happiness.
You always made us your first priority—
Even when it cost you sleep, peace, and rest.
Through our sickness,
Our bad choices,
You carried the weight.
You tried to show us the right way,
And we pushed back,
Thinking you were just trying to control us.
But now we see—you were right.
We’re sorry for the times we yelled,
For the words we can’t take back,
For making you worry when all you wanted
Was what’s best for us.
We know we don’t deserve a mom like you,
But we’re grateful that God gave us
Another chance—
To show you what you’ve raised,
To make you proud,
To love and care for you as you deserve.
Let us try to heal the wounds we caused.
Please forgive us.
We love you, Mom.
You are the heart of our lives.
And today, more than ever,
We thank God that you’re still here with us.
