Clock tick-tocking, the walls breathe slow

Ceiling fan spinning, thoughts won’t let go

Eyes wide, I’m drowning in the glow

Phone screen burning, but there’s nothing to scroll

Shadow-boxing demons in the corner of my mind

Every tick’s a punchline, sleep’s a punch I can’t find

Bed feels like a coffin, blankets too tight

Mind racing Nascar, no pitstop tonight

I can’t go to sleep, nah, I can’t close my eyes

Dreams play peek-a-boo, they vanish, they lie

Tossing and I’m turning, the night won’t comply

I can’t go to sleep, nah, I just survive

Melatonin whispers, but the fight’s too loud

Voices in my head, a restless crowd

Counting sheep turned wolves, how they prowl

Pillow soaked with the sweat of my doubt

Streetlights hum lullabies to the lost

Night creeps in, cold with no exhaust

Insomnia a thief, sleep the cost

Can’t clock out, my brain’s still boss
