Alone in a crowd, not a friendly face to see,
A rejected boy in school who is liked by nobody.
Shunned by anyone that sets foot near him,
Picked on and turned off by anyone on their whim.
And no one feels sorry, no one even cares.
Darkness and the lonely life is all that this boy shares.
But no one would ever help him,
Even though their insults pelt him.
He's used to it by now, it's been like this a while,
Nobody ever cares for a poor, rejected child.
When the school bell rings, and the day is out,
The tears are running down his eyes like he was a spout.
All the kids play baseball but they won't let him play,
They tell him they don't want him, he'll have to wait another day.
And no one feels sorry, no one even cares,
Darkness and the lonely life is all that this boy shares.
But no one would ever help him,
Even though their insults pelt him.
When the sun goes down and the day draws to its close,
He runs home to his mama to tell her all his woes,
He's afraid to go to school again,
His mama says he'll have friends, but he just shrugs and asks when.
And no one feels sorry, no one even cares,
Darkness and the lonely life is all that this boy shares.
