One day while I was in town

My dream car was a sitten on a corner for sale,

It was a beauty! 65 cobra with a 427

I about died and went to heaven

The price was right despite my budget being a little tight…

I had to have it and it was in my driveway before eleven that afternoon.

I called my girl and told her I had a big surprise and to get home soon..

I could hear her all way up the driveway yelling

As she took off, the sound of that 427 was music to my ears as she slammed through them gears .

( yep- she left me standing on the side of the road as I listen to that engine roar!)

I walked back home and waited , listening for that sweet engines roar coming down the road.

Next morning around four

I hear her coming through the door,

I pretended to be a sleeping, even though my heart was still a weapen.

She snugs up against me and whispers ,
