Chasin' My Demons

Well, the bottle’s my friend, but it’s breakin’ my heart,

A liquid embrace, takin’ me apart.

This blues on my mind, it’s a heavy load,

Chasin’ shadows on a lonesome road.

Woke up this mornin’, feelin’ so low,

With a head full of dreams, but nowhere to go.

The whiskey’s my comfort, it eases the pain,

But the love that I long for is lost in the rain.

Oh, this cycle keeps spinnin’, round and around,

Each drink that I swallow just drags me down.

Tryin’ to find light through a haze in my soul,

Each bottle I empty just takes its toll.
