The streetlights hum but don’t show the way

I’ve been walking in circles since yesterday

Every step feels heavier than the last

A ghost in the mirror

A shadow of my past

Lost in the shadows where the echoes scream

The choir chants like a broken dream

Where do I go when the night won’t end

When the dark’s my only friend

The stars have vanished they don’t want to see

The weight of my heart dragging the sea

I reach for a hand but there’s only air

The silence is laughing

It’s everywhere

I cry out but the sound is swallowed

I chase the light but the light won’t follow
