[I – soft, fragile, almost lullaby]
Don’t touch me… I might break…
Cracks run deeper than they say…
Smile stitched across my face…
Hold me gently… I decay…
[ 1]
Porcelain skin with a hollow glow
Perfect on the outside, nothing below
Every step that I take might fracture the frame
But I still wear the mask like it’s part of my name
You see beauty—I see the splits
Tiny fractures in every bit
Held together by threads so thin
One wrong breath and I cave within
[P – airy, uneasy]
Say I’m fine… say I’m whole…
But you don’t see beneath control…
[C– haunting, melodic]
Porcelain veil… don’t look too close
There’s something underneath I don’t control
If I shatter… will I reveal…
The thing inside that I can’t conceal…
[ 2 – darker undertone]
There’s a voice in the cracks that hums real low
Not mine—but it moves when I don’t say no
Every fracture a door that it slips between
Now it’s wearing my face like a living dream
I feel it shift when I try to sleep
Like it’s learning the way that I breathe too deep
Mimic every word, every move I make
Till I can’t tell which one of us is fake
[B – whisper, you vs them]
[You] Don’t break me…
[Them] I’ll remake you…
[You] Stay away…
[Them] I’ll replace you…
[Both, overlapping]
Crack by crack… piece by piece…
You’ll be gone… I’ll be complete…
[C – fuller, more emotional]
Porcelain veil… it’s wearing thin…
I feel it crawling under my skin…
If I shatter… don’t try to save…
What comes out won’t know my name…
[ 3 – unstable, slipping identity]
Hands don’t feel like they used to before
Voice sounds wrong when it leaves my core
Every mirror shows something new
And I don’t know which one is true
Am I breaking—or being remade?
Is this death—or a masquerade?
If I’m gone when the pieces fall…
Was I ever myself at all?
[O – delicate, eerie fade]
Handle me soft… don’t let me fall…
I’m barely here… at all…
[whisper underneath]
You already fell…
