The Centurion’s Confession

A soldier's tale, under the shadowed sky

A centurion's voice, questions echo why

From the cross to the tomb, the mystery unfolds

A story of grace that nobody told

Cloak in my hands, the world’s burden to bear

Serving the crown, yet a soul in despair

I saw a man fall, not a cry of hate

But a whisper of peace, as history turned fate

He called out "It is finished!", the heavens grew still

The earth did tremble, affirming his will

With a spear I struck, to confirm his last breath

But a divine secret defied death

Oh, crucified king, of the Jews and of all

Your love breaks the chains, a divine fall

From shadows of doubt to the light above

A soldier's heart now swayed by your love

We set a guard both at night and through the day

A bright light shone and an angel appeared

As dead me we fell in the grip of fear
