STORY / SCRIPT: “Getting Back”
Scene 1: THE LOSS
Visual: A woman sits by the window, rain falling. She’s staring blankly at a photo of her old self — vibrant, confident.
Voiceover / Opening Verse:
“I gave too much, forgot who I was. I bent till I broke just to keep love alive.”
She remembers how she used to smile — before the pain, before the doubts. We see flashes of her laughing, dancing, creating — all the parts of her that faded over time.
⸻
Scene 2: THE BREAKDOWN
Visual: Alone in the kitchen, dishes untouched, dark circles under her eyes. She tries on clothes but nothing feels right.
Voiceover / Pre-Chorus:
“Mirror don’t know me, silence is loud. I lost my rhythm in someone else’s sound.”
She breaks down — tears fall, but there’s something in her eyes: not just sadness, but anger and will.
⸻
Scene 3: THE TURNING POINT
Visual: She finds an old notebook, a vision board, maybe a childhood photo. She slowly starts clearing her room — and her mind.
Chorus (sung strong):
“I’m getting back to me,
Every heartbeat, every piece.
No more fading in the dark,
I’m a wildfire, I’m a spark.
This is my comeback,
I’m getting back.”
⸻
Scene 4: THE RISE
Visual: Morning light, she’s putting on lipstick, tying her hair back. She steps outside, headphones in, walking like she owns the world.
She starts doing the little things: working out, meeting friends, dancing in her room, smiling in the mirror.
Bridge:
“Not for him, not for them — just for me.
The girl I was, the woman I’ll be.”
⸻
Scene 5: THE NEW CHAPTER
Visual: She’s performing in a small open mic. People are clapping. Her eyes shine with life again.
Final Chorus (bigger, stronger):
“I’m getting back to me,
No more chains, finally free.
This is not revenge, it’s rebirth,
I found my power, I know my worth.
Watch me rise, no looking back —
I’m getting back.”
