Waiting for the Change

Echoes in my mind, shadows' silent call

Waiting for a sign, to break the downward fall

Lost in the haze, chasing fleeting highs

A fleeting blaze, in a world of lies

Hope's a distant flame, flickering and small

Still I cling to pain, afraid to lose it all

Every day’s the same, a waiting game inside

Caught in the blame, with nowhere left to hide

Yearning for that spark, to turn the dark to light

But I’m stuck in park, and it fades into the night

Hold on to hope, even when it’s hard to see

Fighting through the rope, trying to set me free

One day I’ll awake, from this endless dream

Waiting for that break, beyond the silent scream

Maybe the trigger’s near, just out of sight

A whisper to my ear, guiding through the night

Breaking through the fear, reaching for the sun

If I persevere, my fears come undone

Till that moment’s here, I’ll still believe

That someday near, I’ll find relief

Waiting patiently, for that final switch
