Raspy steel, echoes in the night

Guitar wails, setting wrongs right

Living fast, in a reckless dance

Outlaw blues, fate’s cruel trance

Hit the gas in my 68 Dodge, big block roar

Southwest Texas skies, I settle the score

Ghosts in my mind, from wars I've fought

Memories and scars, lessons I was taught

Laws behind, but they’re closing in
