Hollow House
Footsteps echo in a hollow house
Doors all open, but he wont walk out
Moonlight crawling up the crooked walls
Shadows whisper, but he hears no calls
Hes digging, digging, deeper down
Dust on his hands, but he wont lay it down
Cant save a ghost from haunting the past
Cant build a fire when the rain wont pass
I leave the light on, but the dark casts doubt
Trapped in a hollow house with no way out
There’s a bottle where his soul should be
Lies taste sweet when you drink them deep
He swears he’s climbing, but I see the rope
Fraying, breaking, slipping like hope
Hes digging, digging, deeper down
Dust on his hands, but he wont lay it down
Cant save a ghost from haunting the past
Cant build a fire when the rain wont pass
I leave the light on, but the dark casts doubt
Trapped in a hollow house with no way out
Do I stay? Do I run?
Do I watch the setting sun?
When the house caves in,
Will I be the only one?
Cant save a ghost from haunting the past
Cant build a fire when the rain wont pass
I leave the light on, but the dark casts doubt
Trapped in a hollow house with no way out
Footsteps fade in a hollow house
Doors all open, but he won’t walk out
