Rising from the Ashes

In the shadows, I used to hide,

Lost in pain where my tears reside,

Voices whisper in the dark,

But then you came, ignited a spark.

Climbed through the silence, the aching dread,

Words like daggers, so often said,

From a friend, a mother-in-law too,

Even love turned hostile, all I knew.
