Midnight Praise

In the depths of midnight, under shadows cold and deep

Their hearts beat with hope—no, they refuse to weep

Chains binding their spirits, walls caving in

But their voices rise in praise, let the heavenlies begin

Paul and Silas, unjustly chained in the night

Falsely accused, yet their faith ignites

Through the darkness, their song fills the air

A melody of mercy, a prayer of despair

At the midnight hour when darkness is thick

Their praise breaks the silence, their voices inflict

A miracle in motion, heaven’s doors swing wide

Chains fall to the ground, no place to hide

Chains are breaking, doors are open wide

Miracles awakening, lost faith is revived

Unchained and unshackled, hearts forever changed

All because of God's power and grace that remains

A guard in the prison, trembling and afraid

Seeing the mighty hand of God displayed

He asks, 'What must I do to be saved?'

An answer of love, a new path paved

From darkness to the light, their story stands tall

Praise in the prison, ringing through every hall

Chains forever broken, freedom's now in sight

They believed, they praised, they saw God's glorious light
