Someday, Love

I’ve watched the stars a thousand nights

Wrote silent vows beneath moonlight

Held my heart like folded wings

Waiting for what love might bring

I’ve danced alone, I’ve smiled through pain

Held on to faith through every rain

And still I whisper in my sleep

“Someday, love, come close to me”

I haven’t given up the dream

That someone’s out there made for me

A hand that fits, a soul that stays

A voice that knows the words I pray

Maybe he’s still lost like I am, too

But I believe that God will lead him through
