Growing up I suffered many hurts and bruises tears filled my eyes as I related to a christian brother some of the wrong I had suffered he said you have not forgiven those who hurt you oh yes I have I staunchly protested I don't have aunght against anyone in fact I love them

Put away from you all bitterness and wrath and anger and wrangling and slander together with all malice and be kind to one another tenderhearted forgiving one another as god in Christ has forgiven you

He responded when you can talk about the past without feeling this intense pain you will have truly forgiven them you will be healed his words made me wonder had truly forgiven those who hurt me why when ever opportunity presented itself did I rehash the unkind deeds I realized that I was causing myself to relive the misery of bygone days

Hurting myself again and again I needed help to release these negative feelings so I asked the Lord to cleanse my heart and I found that the pain of the past years was eased I could recall incidents without I'll feelings some even with humor
