I Can Only Imagine

I CAN ONLY IMAGINE
You brought me into this world 
So long ago
You nourished, cared and soothed my soul and taught me to love as never before.
You watched me grow and stumble and fall,
You showed me how to love, 
in spite of it all.

What you could teach me now
The loving,  you showed then, 
Is even more now.
For  it must be so awesome 
To stand in Gods love.
I can only imagine 
That great day to come.
Now, I'm grown and missing you still. 
With  a wife and my children,  I struggle to get by.
But I lean on those lessons 
from so long ago
To love  them always, 
No matter how far.
