Playing the Fool

Everybody’s got something to prove,

Talking loud like they’ve got all the moves.

I’m just here, taking it slow,

Playing the fool while they put on a show.

They’re flexing brains, trying to shine,

But I see the cracks in their perfect design.

I keep it cool, I stay unseen,

There’s power in playing the in-between.

Let them act like a smartass, I’ll play the dumbass,

They don’t see the truth in the looking glass.

While they chase the crown, I watch the game,

I’m not in the race, but I know the name.

Let them boast, let them run,

I’m just here, acting dumb.

It’s not weakness; it’s my disguise,

They don’t see the wisdom in quiet eyes.

While they’re busy trying to outshine,

I’m building my world, line by line.

They talk in circles, trying to impress,

But I’ve found peace in doing less.

I’ll let them think they’ve got it all,

While I rise steady and they start to fall.
