Wife is gone to work

Well the sun's high on the Gulf Coast sand,

Wife's gone workin', left me with my own plans.

Saddle up my horse, got the bassline thumpin',

Harmonica wailin', through the marshland jumpin'.

Dirt roads hummin' through the crowd.

Do I chase the shark or fight the snake?

Or reel in a tuna 'fore my woman wakes.

Python's hissin', waves are callin',

Tide's rollin', daylight's fallin'.

Gotta choose my battle, make it quick,

'Fore the porch light flickers, clock goes tick.

Sharks in the shallows, teeth like knives,

But that redfin's dancin', temptin' my life.

Python's wrapped 'round a cypress limb,

But I ain't scared, I'm ridin' with him.
