I remember the day

That I asked Jesus into my heart

I remember the waves of joy

That filled my soul

And I remember the tears

That rolled down Mama's face

And the burden that

Jesus lifted from my soul

Thank you Lord for giving me

The chance to live eternally

Where I can sing Your praises everyday

It used to be

That death scared me

But now I know

That I'm set free

By the blood You shed for me

At calvary

I remember what that preacher

Said to me

My son, from your sins

You're now set free

I remember the water

Covering me

Cleansing my soul

To prepare my heart for Thee
